I have improved, and am continuing to improve, my habits involving how I eat, my ability to budget and provide effectively for my family, and the quality of my relationships primarily with my husband and children.

The beginning of something new can feel fresh and exciting. The possibilities seem limitless and we feel motivation for the future. Our resolve to achieve the goals and meet our own expectations is at an all time high. Of course, this feeling is amazing, but it also is not always long lasting. Once the “honeymoon” stage has worn off, our true determination, perseverance, discipline and commitment to stay the course must be developed and used on a daily basis. I found myself in this space through out the majority of this challenge, and it is actually a really beautiful place to be.

Starting the fire to make positive changes in any area of our lives is a very important piece of the puzzle. It’s that fire that gets us started; it is that fire that helps us initially catch hold of a vision of a newer and improved version of ourselves and our lives. But just like a fire, without continually being stoked and fed it can dwindle and go out. For us to experience lasting growth and progress continually feed and stoke our goals and dreams so that they continue to burn steady and strong. For me, this challenge has been about feeding and stoking my dreams and goals. It has been about continuing to develop and maintain disciplines necessary for me to progress. I have put a lot of emphasis on taking consistent small daily actions, and turning them into daily auto pilot habits.

My main areas of focus continue to mostly include goals around food, finances, and family. I have improved, and am continuing to improve, my habits involving how I eat, my ability to budget and provide effectively for my family, and the quality of my relationships primarily with my husband and children. Some areas are turning into habits more quickly than others, but I am seeing progress through my struggle to keep my efforts consistent in these (and other) areas. I am encouraged by the progress I have experienced, as well the new habits that I have created. Likewise, I am motivated to continue to develop additional disciplines that will aid me with progressing into a better version of my current (awesome) self.

I truly enjoy being a trainer and a part of the Fitmania family. Next to being at my own home, Fitmania is my favorite place to be. I find so much purpose and meaning with being involved with this group of people, and the collective vision of this company. As a trainer, not only am I able to grow in so many aspects of my life, but I have the opportunity to try and encourage, motivate, and support others who are also interested in personal growth and improvement. It has been a personally expansive process for me to increase my ability to be a genuine “cheerleader” for others, within and without the physical fitness realm. Being able to give of my energy, time, knowledge, and enthusiasm to something I believe in, and at the same time be able to (hopefully) have a positive impact on another person’s life while continuing to grow in my own, has been, and continues to be a transformative experience for me.

I am a FITMANIAC and I am not afraid to TWIST & SHOUT it!
