What do the following foods have in common?
- Red meat
They are all nutritious foods that have been villainized by a popular diet or food fad. None of these foods will cause weight gain when they are part of meal plan with a balance of the three macronutrients, protein, fat and carbohydrates. These are all real foods full of valuable nutrition. They will not make you fat and you cannot become addicted to them because real food is not addictive.
What do the following have in common?
- Fruit loops
- Boxed meals
- Granola bars
- Weight loss bars and shakes
Did you notice that I don’t have the word “food” in the second question? Our bodies were not deigned to eat things from the second list. Consequently these things make us sick, fat and addicted.
To be lean and healthy never eat from the second list but feel free to eat from the first.
